The Group's principal activity is to distribute and transport natural gas to residential, commercial and industrial customers in Southwest Alabama. The Group's operations are classified into two business segments, namely, Natural gas distribution and Natural gas storage. The Natural gas distribution segment distributes and transports natural gas to residential, commercial and industrial customers in Southwest Alabama through Mobile Gas Service Corporation and Southern Gas Transmission Company. The Natural gas storage segment provides for the underground storage of natural gas and transportation services through the operations of Bay Gas and Storage. It also provides marketing, merchandising and other energy-related services, which are provided through MGS Marketing Services Inc, Mobile Gas and services. The Group operates in the United States.
