Joining Darby in December 2005, Ms. Leung is Chief Counsel - Asia Pacific, with responsibility over all corporate legal matters for the firm's business in the Asia Pacific region, including overseeing the legal aspects of funding, investment, exit and other activities for Darby's mezzanine and private equity businesses in Asia.
Ms. Leung has worked on a wide range of M&A, corporate securities and private & public financing transactions in Asia, Australasia, Europe and the Americas.
While at the Wall Street law firm of Milbank Tweed Hadley & McCloy, Ms. Leung advised numerous US and foreign corporate and investment banking clients in private equity, debt financing, M&A and international capital markets transactions.
After leaving private practice, Ms. Leung served as Chief Legal Officer and Board Member at a Nasdaq-listed technology and infrastructure investment company with operations in 14 countries around the world.
She was also Executive Director at a private strategic fund where she led the firm's real estate and related investments in selected markets.
Until she joined Darby, Ms. Leung served as Vice President and Senior Counsel at GE Capital where she was the lead transaction attorney in the company's initiative to acquire banks and financial institutions across Asia.
