James C. Hawley

Jim Hawley joined MGI PHARMA in January 2005 as Senior Vice President and was appointed Chief Financial Officer in March 2005.
Prior to joining MGI PHARMA, Mr. Hawley served as Vice President, Chief Financial Officer, and Corporate Secretary at CIMA LABS INC.
Prior to his officer roles with CIMA LABS, he was a Principal with Manchester Companies, Inc., a private investment banking and management advisory firm, and joined Orthomet Inc., an innovative developer and marketer of implantable medical devices, as Chief Financial Officer, later becoming Executive Vice President.
In addition to his positions at CIMA LABS and Orthomet, Mr. Hawley served as Chief Executive Officer and Director of Harmony Brook, Inc. and Interim Chief Executive Officer and Director of CARA Collision and Glass.
Mr. Hawley also spent 12 years in various financial roles at 3M Company, including Group Controller of the Pharmaceutical and Dental Products Group.
Mr. Hawley has served on the board of directors at Navarre Biomedical Ltd.
and Kelly Russell Studios, Inc. Mr. Hawley received his BS with distinction from the University of Minnesota before working in and receiving his certificate in public accounting.
