Mr. James H.
Shelton, CFA MBA, is Chief Investment Officer at Kanaly Trust LTA.
He also serves as chair of Kanaly's Investment Committee, and is also a member of the Executive Committee.
He is responsible for overseeing the investment process for all personal and institutional accounts of the firm.
He provides depth, talent and leadership to Kanaly’s investment team and works to implement broad, multi-asset class investment opportunities for clients.
Prior to joining Kanaly Trust, he joined AIM Investments (now Invesco) in 2002 as a senior client portfolio manager and was elevated to manager of investment services prior to leaving the firm.
From 1999 to 2002 he was the co-founder and CIO of his own firm, Caprock Capital Advisors, Inc. of Houston.
He has over 20 years of experience in the investment industry.
Mr. Shelton received an MBA from the University of Houston and completed his undergraduate degree at Baylor University.
He is a Chartered Financial Analyst, a Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst and a member of the CFA Institute and the Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst Association.
