Mr. Julian M.
Callow
is Chief European Economist at Barclays Capital Securities Ltd.
He manages a team of Economists responsible for analysing the European economy and monetary and fiscal policy.
Prior to working at Barclays Capital, he worked at Credit Suisse First Boston from 1999 to 2003, where he was a Co-Head of European Economics, and was also in charge of continental European Economics.
He also spent time working for Dresdner Kleinwort Benson from 1992 until 1999 and at Chase Manhattan from 1990 to 1992.
Fom 1987 to 1990, he was with the Bank of England, where he was responsible for analysing the economies and financial systems of North America.
Mr. Callow graduated in 1987 with a First Class degree in Philosophy, Politics and Economics from Oxford University.
He has been consistently ranked within the top five for Institutional Investor Surveys of European investors on an annual basis going back to 2000, coming third in the 2008 European Fixed Income Survey.
He has also been a Member of the European Central Bank (ECB) Shadow Council, an independent panel of economists convened by Handelsblatt that meets monthly to discuss ECB policy, since its formation in 2002.
