Svenska Litteratursällskapet i Finland r f (SLS) is an independent Finland-based scholarly organization that preserves, develops and mediates the Swedish cultural heritage in Finland. Established in 1885 in memory of the Finnish national poet Johan Ludvig Runeberg, SLS is headquartered in Helsinki. The aims of the Society are realized through the archives and the library, the publishing unit, the research unit, the distribution of scholarships and the financial administration. The activities are made possible through their financial backing, mainly in the form of private donations. SLS owns and manages the Swedish Cultural Foundation in Finland (Svenska kulturfonden), one of the largest funds in Finland. They award a number of grants and scholarships from the funds each year, primarily to graduate students working in SLS’s fields of activity. They also support other activities in accordance with the donors’ wishes.

Headquartered in Helsinki, the firm was founded in 1989 and is known locally as Evli Rahastoyhtiö Oy.
