Laura Alessio joined Atlas in August 2022 as director of portfolio operations.
She is responsible for start-up portfolio formation and business operations, portfolio transitions and various broad portfolio initiatives.
Prior to joining Atlas, Laura was chief of staff at eGenesis, where she was the strategic right-hand person to the CEO, helped determine and drive business planning as well as responsible for program and project management at a tactical, strategic and operational level.
Prior to eGenesis, Laura served as operations manager at Cydan where she was responsible for all day-to-day company operations and was instrumental in incorporating and setting up Cydan rare disease spin-out companies and closing Series A investments.
Laura received a BSBA from Middlesex College and an executive administration degree from the Burdett School of Business.
She also holds certifications in website design, business analytics and investor relations.
Outside of work, Laura enjoys being on the water at Sebago Lake in Maine, spending time with her 3 Boston Terriers and considers herself a “Relic Junkie,” which she named her vintage furniture and décor shop.
