Mr. St-Pierre joined Goodman & Company in 2007 from Dundee Wealth where he was Vice Chairman, Investment & Portfolio Strategist.
He helped create the firm's Certified Portfolio Engineer program, which continues to teach Dundee advisors sound portfolio management practices.
He is a popular speaker and presenter with both advisors and retail investors.
As President of Cartier Mutual Funds and Chief Investment Officer of Cartier Partners Financial Group, Marc designed institutionally-managed mutual funds and retail fund-of-fund portfolios.
Mr. St-Pierre was President, Chief Operating Officer and Chief Investment Officer at Natcan Investment Management Inc., an arm of the National Bank of Canada.
Before that he was Executive Vice-President and CIO with Canagex Associates, an institutional money manager.
His trading desk experience includes two years as Vice President, Investments, at National Bank of Canada, responsible for fixed-income portfolios; five years as bond manager and economist with Canagex; and two years as money market manager for the Toronto Dominion Bank.
On the sell side, he was Chief Economist at Nesbitt Thomson & Co. Mr. St-Pierre began his career in 1971 as an economist with the Bank of Canada, and also was an economist with The Provincial Bank of Canada.
He has a B.A.
and M.A.
in Economics from the University of Montréal, and earned his CFA designation in 1979.
