Mark Canha

Mr. Canha has experience in the telecommunications industry and has worked for leading communications companies such as IBM/Rolm Systems, MCI and Cisco.
Venture Partner in January 2005, he spent a year as Executive Consultant to the firm.
Mr. Canha joined Prism Venture Partners in January of 2005.
Prior to working with Prism Venture Partners, Mr. Canha served as President of Broadband Services for Broadwing, a next-generation networking company serving enterprises, carriers and service providers.
With Broadwing, he was responsible for generating over $860 million in revenue, overseeing all carrier accounts from a sales, support and technical operations perspective.
While at Providence Equity Partners, Mr. Canha was an integral part of the due diligence process for evaluating emerging service providers and advanced technologies.
There, he served as a technical resource for the firm's portfolio companies by sharing operating knowledge and providing a network of business resources.
Mr. Canha has held senior positions with Cisco, Lightstream, MCI and Rolm/IBM.
He received his B.S.
in Business from Merrimack College in 1978 and graduated in 1998 with C.S.S.
in Technology and Management from Harvard University.
He is on the board of Sagamore Systems.
He currently supports board-related activities for Colubris Networks, Cartiza, LogMeIn, M:Metrics, Everypoint and Polatis.
He was formerly on the board of Bitfone, acquired by HP.
