Onofre S.
Zablan III served as Chief Financial Officer of Amwal Al-Khaleej.
Prior to joining Amwal, Onofre was the Chief Financial Officer of Aldrees Petroleum & Transport Services Co. and was a senior member of the management team that handled the IPO of the company.
He was head of the team that re-engineered the company's operations, systems and procedures that has enabled the company to achieve the vision of its founders.
Prior to APTSCO, he was a seasoned banker with 27 years of experience in Corporate Banking, Syndications - including lead manager and agent, Corporate Finance, and International Equities, with his Saudi banking career spanning 18 years, 8 of which were with the National Commercial Bank, 5 with United Saudi Commercial Bank, 3 with Saudi British Bank, 3 with United Saudi Bank where his last position was as Head of the Corporate Banking in the Western Region.
Onofre earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Commerce from the Philippine College of Commerce in 1972, joining Bank of the Philippine Islands, an affiliate of the Morgan Guarantee Trust New York, immediately after graduation and became an officer of the bank in 1977.
He moved to Saudi Arabia in 1981.
