Dr. Richard B.

He directs the Science Engineering Workforce Project at the National Bureau of Economic Research, and is Co-Director of the Harvard Center for Green Buildings and Cities.
His research interests include the job market for scientists and engineers; the transformation of scientific ideas into innovations, Chinese and Korean labor markets; the effects of AI and robots on the job market; and forms of labor market representation and employee ownership.
He received his B.A.
degree from Dartmouth College in 1964 and Ph.D.
from Harvard University in 1969.
