CGD Europe was founded in 2011 as a branch of CGD, with the aim of broadening and deepening engagement with the development community. The non-profit company is based in London, UK and is a separate organization with a separate board of trustees, but it continues to be a part of the CGD family. CGD Europe is a company limited by guarantee in the UK and an England and Wales registered charity with an equivalency determination certification from NGOsource. It conducts high-quality empirical research and analysis on a range of development issues related to how the policies and practices of the rich and powerful impact on the world's poor and most vulnerable.
