Upon co-founding Alto Partners in 2000, Stefano Scarpis has since served as Chairman and Partner.
Prior to founding Alto Partners, from 1996 to 2000 he held the position of General Manager of Fidia SGR, a private equity fund manager supported by four premier Italian banks (Mediobanca, Banca Commerciale Italiana, Credito Italiano and Banca di Roma).
From 1986 to 1995, Stefano Scarpis served as a Senior Manager in the corporate finance division of the leading Italian investment bank Mediobanca, assisting a number of foremost clients such as Montedison, Pirelli, Italcementi, Assicurazioni Generali and SAI Assicurazioni in their corporate finance operations.
Stefano Scarpis graduated from Siena University in Economics and Banking, with a Master of Business Administration from Bocconi University in Milan.
In addition to supervising Alto Partners’ activities, he specializes in deal origination and negotiation, with a focus on the food, leisure and luxury sectors.
Stefano Scarpis was member of AIFI’s board of directors from 2004 to 2009.
