Steve Bates has more than 20 years of corporate finance, management buyouts and acquisitions and commercial real estate acquisitions/dispositions/asset management experience.
Steve began his career in San Francisco at Equitec Financial Group, then in San Diego at Great American First Savings Bank and in Beverly Hills where he joined Glenn Boschetto at Imperial Capital.
Steve has participated in over 50 transactions with an aggregate value in excess of $4 billion.
In addition to his work for APCO Capital, Steve is the Managing Partner and Founder of APCO Capital’s affiliated Financial Industry Regulatory Authority Inc. (FINRA, formerly known as the NASD) Broker Dealer – BDAPCO.
Steve has a BS in Finance/Accounting from Brigham Young University.
Steve is married with two children.
His interests include saltwater fly fishing, hunting, skiing and mountain biking.
Steve maintains a long-term association with the Boy Scouts of America.
