Yi Xu

Born and raised in Hangzhou, Mr. Xu joined Gobi Partners in 2004 and focuses on the digital out-of-home and e-learning sectors.
He is also responsible for the legal aspects of the firm’s investments.
Charlie served small and medium sized enterprises at Shanghai Jin Mao CPA where he qualified as a Chinese accountant and gained tremendous hands-on experience and insights on management and financial issues faced by early stage companies.
Previously Charlie worked at the Zhejiang branch of Industrial and Commercial Bank of China where he was responsible for personal loans and mortgages and provided financial consultations to clients.
Because of his outstanding work in the personal loans department, he was subsequently promoted to the position of Client Manager at ICBC.
Mr. Xu holds a Bachelor’s degree in Banking from Zhejiang University of Finance and Economics where he received a number of scholarships.
He also holds a Nationwide Lawyer Certificate issued by the Ministry of Justice and a Certified Public Accountant certificate issued by the Chinese Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
In his leisure time, he enjoys playing chess, table tennis, and badminton.
