Letter to Shareholders and Notice of General Meeting

Surface Transforms plc (AIM:SCE) announces that a letter to Shareholders and notice of general meeting of the Company ("General Meeting") will today be posted to shareholders and be made available on the Company's website at www. surfacetransforms.com.

The General Meeting will be held at Surface Transforms plc, Acornfield Rd, Knowsley Industrial Estate at 9.00 a.m. on 21 May 2020.

Pursuant to the statutory social distancing measures introduced by the UK Government on 28 March 2020 to manage the COVID-19 virus (coronavirus) (the "Stay at Home Measures"), and the subsequent extension on 16 April 2020, public gatherings of more than two people and non- essential travel are currently prohibited. The Company will therefore convene the General Meeting with the minimum quorum of two shareholders necessary to conduct the meeting, being the Company's Chief Executive Officer Kevin Johnson (acting as Chairman) and the Company's Finance Director Michael Cunningham.

The Company is continuing to monitor the advice of the government in order to ensure shareholder safety. Accordingly, and in line with the Stay at Home Measures in force at the date of this notice of General Meeting:

1. Shareholders are strongly encouraged to vote by proxy.
   Shareholders are strongly encouraged to vote on the resolution by completing and returning the proxy form attached to this notice, in accordance with the instructions set out therein. Shareholders should appoint the Chairman of the meeting as their proxy rather than another person who will not be permitted to attend due to the Stay at Home Measures.
2. Shareholdersmust not attendthe general meeting in person.
   Any shareholder seeking to gain admission to the General Meeting in person will be refused entry in accordance with the Stay at Home Measures and the Chairman's power under articles of association of the Company.

The COVID-19 situation is evolving on a daily basis, and it may be necessary for the Company to issue further statements in relation to this General Meeting and the business more generally from time to time.
