SHANGHAI, Nov 15 (Reuters) - China will expand the scope and volume of scrap copper imports, said an industry association official on Wednesday.

Scrap copper imports will reach 1.9 million metric tons this year, up from 1.75 million tons in 2022, Liu Wei, vice president of the China Nonferrous Industry Association Recycling Metal Branch, told a conference in Shanghai. (Reporting by Siyi Liu and Mai Nguyen; Editing by Tom Hogue)
