Black Dog Animal Hospital to Open in February 2016

RED WING, Minn., Jan. 10, 2016 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Black Dog Animal Hospital is set to open its doors in February 2016. This new veterinary clinic is located in Red Wing, MN at 1995 Old West Main Street. Black Dog Animal Hospital is a full-service veterinary clinic offering wellness check-ups, vaccines, spay and neuter services, sick pet visits and veterinary house calls for home euthanasia and some wellness services.

Black Dog Animal Hospital will be offering home euthanasia visits and some wellness services for those unable to make it into the clinic in the Red Wing area. According to Dr. Scott, she believes that these visits can be beneficial. "While most of our care is done in the hospital setting, on a prescheduled basis we can offer these services for our elderly clients or those with limited mobility.  In these cases, a home visit ensures that the animal receives necessary care in a timely fashion without adding stress to the owner's life. A home visit also allows us to observe the pet in its daily environment, which can be very comforting for them especially if they become aggressive or skittish in the clinical environment."

Dr. Jennifer Scott is the owner of Black Dog Animal Hospital. A graduate of Purdue University, Dr. Scott has more than a decade of experience in the care of small pets. She makes providing excellent veterinary care in a comfortable, soothing environment a key component of her practice. She is joined in practice by Dr. Christine Boyle, who holds a degree from the University of Minnesota, also has more than a decade of experience in the clinical setting.
