The currency is pegged to the greenback in a tight range of 7.75 to 7.85 per U.S. dollar.

The Hong Kong currency rose on Friday to 7.7598 per U.S. dollar, its strongest level since March 2017. It last traded at 7.7644, little changed on the day.
