Shares of industrial and transportation companies fell as a rally in cyclical issues slowed.

Major airlines, including American Airlines, Delta Air Lines and United Airlines sued to block a new federal rule requiring upfront disclosure of add-on fees, or "hidden fees" as the Biden administration has dubbed them.

A rule finalized by the Transportation Department last month requires airlines and other ticket sellers to display fees for checking bags and changing flights when a flight's fare and schedule information is initially displayed.
