Newbury Racecourse PLC - sporting and events venue in Berkshire, England - Appoints Shaun Hinds as its new chief executive, succeeding Julian Thick, whose resignation was announced in August. Hinds is expected to take up the role in summer next year, once he has served a notice period with his current employer. For the past six and a half years, Hinds has been CEO of Manchester Central Convention Centre, the UK's largest city centre convention, exhibition and events complex.
Chair Dominic Burke says: "The board are delighted that Shaun has agreed to become Newbury Racecourse's chief executive. His extensive experience in the events sector will undoubtedly benefit the company as we address the challenges and opportunities ahead of us. We look forward to Shaun joining during the summer of 2024."
