MOSCOW, March 4 (Reuters) - The Russian population bought 0.5 trillion roubles ($5.48 billion) worth of foreign currency on the Moscow Exchange last year, the central bank said on Monday, compared with 1.06 trillion roubles in 2022.

In a report on financial instruments, the bank said over-the-counter spot trading in the Emirati dirham was 0.5 trillion roubles per month on average in 2023.
