HANOI, Aug 29 (Reuters) - Coffee exports from Vietnam are estimated to have decreased 4.9% in the first eight months of 2023 from a year earlier to 1.2 tonnes, equivalent to 20 million 60 kg (130 pound) bags, the General Statistics Office said on Tuesday.

Coffee export revenue for Vietnam, the world's biggest producer of the robusta bean, rose 3.3% to $3 billion in the January-August period, the agency said. Its coffee shipments in Aug are estimated at 90,000 tonnes, valued at $267 million. (Reporting by Phuong Nguyen; Editing by Martin Petty)
