A.J. Plast Public Company Limited reported earnings results for the second quarter and six months ended June 30, 2023. For the second quarter, the company reported sales was THB 1,968.29 million compared to THB 2,609 million a year ago. Revenue was THB 1,990.09 million compared to THB 2,625.89 million a year ago. Net loss was THB 104.81 million compared to net income of THB 125.04 million a year ago. Basic loss per share from continuing operations was THB 0.24 compared to basic earnings per share from continuing operations of THB 0.28 a year ago.
For the six months, sales was THB 3,783.32 million compared to THB 5,166.31 million a year ago. Revenue was THB 3,821.44 million compared to THB 5,201.75 million a year ago. Net loss was THB 298.4 million compared to net income of THB 267.75 million a year ago. Basic loss per share from continuing operations was THB 0.68 compared to basic earnings per share from continuing operations of THB 0.6 a year ago.
A.J. Plast Public Company Limited is a Thailand-based biaxially oriented film producer. The Company is engaged in the manufacturing and selling plastic films both local and exporting to foreign countries, scraps are sold both in local and abroad. The Company and its subsidiary operate in one industrial segment, which is packaging. The Company produces various types of films, including Biaxially Oriented Polypropylene Film (BOPP Film), Biaxially Oriented Polyethylene Terephthalate Film (BOPET Film), Biaxially Oriented Polyamide Film (BOPA Film), Biaxially Oriented Polylactic Acid Film (BOPLA Film), Metallized BOPP Film (MPP Film), Metallized BOPET film (MPT film), and Metallized BOPA film (MPA film). The Companyâs factory is located in Laemchabang Industrial Estate, Tambol Thungsukala, Amphur Sriracha, Chonburi Province. It has a production capacity of approximately 263,500 metric tons per year. The Companyâs subsidiary is A.J. Plast (Vietnam) Company Limited.
