Oslobygg KF has nominated AF Gruppen as the contractor for the Bjørvika School project. The project invols the construcuction of a new primary and secondary school for 840 students at Lohavn in Oslo. The contract value is approximately NOK 1,200 million, excluding VAT.

The agreement is a turnkey contract for the design and construction of Bjørvika School. The contract includes the construction of a school building with a gross area of 15,250 m2 for 840 students in grades 1-10, as well as a multipurpose hall with three gymnasiums, a dance hall, specially equipped areas, and outdoor spaces. Additionally, a land-based facility for Sjøskolen, designed for 60 students, will be established.

The project has very high environmental ambitions. This encompasses the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions, energy-efficient measures in the building structure, utilisation of renewable energy and appropriate material usage. The construction site is intended to be emission-free.

Detailed engineering is set to commence in January 2024, with the construction scheduled to begin in June 2024. Bjørvika School is set to be ready for the start of the school year in the fall of 2027.
