Newspaper publishers have their share of things to be worried about but Agfa Graphics believes their prepress department should not have to be one of them. Agfa Graphics today launched "eXPERT Services," a new series of programs such as ISO based quality control procedures, training, consultancy and system integration specifically-designed to ensure newspaper printers that their organizational needs are being met and that everything from CtP to press is running as smoothly and efficiently as possible.

"For Agfa Graphics, offering our customers professional service and support has always been key to doing business. This requires a combination of 'top performing' prepress equipment, software and people with the right competencies," said Emiel Sweevers, Agfa Graphics. "The 'eXPERT Services' program is designed to improve and control the output quality, streamline production and increase productivity."

The "eXPERT Services" program is built around four primary objectives: IQA (ISO Quality Assist), CtP Advanced Set-up & Integration, Consultancy and Training. Each segment of the program is designed to ensure newspaper publishers are getting the most from their prepress and press investment.

At the core of the new "eXPERT Services" are the IQA (ISO Quality Assist) programs. "IQA" uses well-defined industry standards and procedures to ensure reproducible quality from prepress to press to conform to ISO 12647-3.
"CtP Advanced Set-up & Integration" takes care of CtP engine settings and system integration, going beyond the standard engine installation. This improves the ease-of-use and efficiency of complete CtP systems.
The Agfa Academy training programs help newspaper publishers maximize their competencies and skills.
With "Consultancy," the program offers detailed analytical advice regarding, for example, applicable helpful technologies beyond prepress and the task of initiating color management and ink savings solutions.

"Agfa eXPERT Services" is being offered to European customers beginning at WAN-IFRA's World Publishing Expo 2014 in October and will be offered to the rest of the world beginning in 2015.

Visit Agfa Graphics at the World Publishing Expo in October in hall 9 booth 9.240 of the RAI in Amsterdam to learn about all of Agfa Graphics' solutions for the newspaper publishing industry.
