(Alliance News) - Convergenze Spa on Tuesday disclosed that it has signed an agreement to offer entertainment content starting in the first quarter of 2024 to its subscribers and throughout Italy, with Spanish company Agile Content, an international provider of on-demand and live pay-per-view streaming services through the "Agile TV" platform.

The five-year agreement provides Convergenze with a predefined fee vis-à-vis Agile Content for each activated customer while Convergenze's customers will pay the monthly subscription fee directly in their bills, the company explained in a note.

Convergenze CEO and president Rosario Pingaro commented, "We are proud to have met our plans on the Media&Content Delivery Network business unit. We had announced at the presentation of the 2022 budget that talks were underway with a foreign media content provider, and a few months later we can present this agreement. We are convinced that this collaboration can have a positive impact on the company's commercial offering, as well as in terms of margins. Convergences trades in the green by 4.8 percent at EUR1.96 per share.
