Aguas Andinas S.A. reported earnings results for the second quarter and six months ended June 30, 2023. For the second quarter, the company reported sales was CLP 153,443.85 million compared to CLP 130,883.93 million a year ago. Net income was CLP 25,510.66 million compared to CLP 9,950.28 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations was CLP 4.169 compared to CLP 1.626 a year ago.
For the six months, sales was CLP 333,126.27 million compared to CLP 281,222.61 million a year ago. Net income was CLP 74,422.78 million compared to CLP 43,699.71 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations was CLP 12.163 compared to CLP 7.142 a year ago.
Aguas Andinas SA is a Chile-based company engaged in the provision of sanitation services. The Company operates in two business segments: Water and Non-water. The Water division provides services related to the distribution and supply of drinking water, as well as the collection and treatment of sewage water. The Non-water division includes services related to environmental analysis, industrial waste treatment, engineering services, as well as distribution of equipment for sanitation and energy projects. The Company operates through a number of subsidiaries, such as Aguas Cordillera SA, Aguas del Maipo SA, Essal SA, Gestion y Servicios SA and EcoRiles SA. The Company is indirectly controlled by Suez SA through Inversiones Aguas Metropolitanas SA.
