NEW YORK (AP) _ Ambac Financial Group Inc. (AMBC) on Monday reported a loss of $110 million in its fourth quarter.

The New York-based company said it had a loss of $2.40 per share. Losses, adjusted for amortization costs and non-recurring costs, came to $1.91 per share.

The bond insurer posted revenue of $91 million in the period.

For the year, the company reported a loss of $216 million, or $4.69 per share, swinging to a loss in the period. Revenue was reported as $496 million.

Ambac shares have decreased 8% since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Monday, shares hit $19.85, a drop of nearly 3% in the last 12 months.
