"Steady fleet expansion and the airlines' increased willingness to partner and collaborate with third-party MROs are the stimuli behind our growth objectives in the Middle East." Ismaël Fadili, VP Sales EMEA
Dubai, - AMETEK MRO, a leading global provider of maintenance, repair, and overhaul services for commercial, regional, military, and general aviation aircraft, will be in Dubai for the annual MRO Middle East exhibition for the first time next week. The organisation observes that not only is the market predicted to grow at a CAGR above 6% over the next decade, reaching over USD 18.7 billion by 2033, but there is tangible evidence of closer collaboration between OEMs and the MRO divisions of major airlines. This has encouraged them to create new business opportunities in the region.
Of interest to customers across the EMEA sector, AMETEK MRO has just announced a new 5-year agreement with Honeywell for Flight Deck Recorder and Cockpit Voice Recorder repair capability. Plus, the recent amalgamation of Muirhead Avionics and Avtech at their new UK base, combined with capacity extension on inflatables at AEM, means even faster TATs across key capabilities.
Ismaël Fadili, VP Sales EMEA says that the substantial growth of aviation across the Middle East in the past 20 years has fueled demand for third party MRO services to repair and maintain aircraft as local operators struggle with high costs and a lack of skilled labour. "We see two primary opportunities for AMETEK MRO to further strengthen our presence in the region," he says. "Short term we can tailor our wide range of repair capabilities from actuation to landing systems, or safety equipment to power generation, right across the marketplace. We have the experience to develop unique repair solutions right across the commercial & regional aviation, business jet, military, and helicopters markets. Over the longer term we can invest in dedicated repair and training facilities, fostering knowledge sharing and building opportunities for mutual business benefits."
The organisation has invested in infrastructure at all its global facilities in Europe, Asia and the US to expand capabilities, streamline operations, and amalgamate new technologies which help with pro-active scheduling and cost reduction for repairs.
To summarise Fadili anticipates lively interaction with Middle Eastern operators and OEMS that are seeking more competitive, yet highly skilled, MRO support. "With our strong and diversified repair capabilities and global offering, AMETEK MRO is the perfect partner for the aerospace companies in the area looking for alternative solutions to their MRO needs."
