Amtex Limited reported earnings results for the year ended June 30, 2018. For the year, the company reported sales of PKR 842,865,636 against PKR 1,655,150,380 a year ago. Loss before taxation was PKR 3,253,451,353 against PKR 1,453,476,463 a year ago. Net loss for the year from continuing operation was PKR 3,265,791,738 against PKR 1,470,441,506 a year ago. Net loss for the year was PKR 3,270,437,783 or PKR 12.61 per basic and diluted share compared to PKR 1,485,555,422 or PKR 5.73 per basic and diluted share a year ago.
Amtex Limited is a Pakistan-based textile manufacturing company. The principal business of the Company is exporting all kinds of value-added fabrics, textile made-ups, casual and fashion garments duly processed. The Company is also engaged in the business of manufacturing and sale of yarn and fabrics on its own and conversion basis. The cloth processing unit and stitching units are located at Punj Pullian Daewoo Road, District Faisalabad and the spinning unit is located at 30 kilometers Sheikhupura Road, Khurrianwala, District Faisalabad, in the province of Punjab. The Company offers products in categories, such as fabrics, home textiles and garments. It produces fabric from 1,016 millimeters (mm) to 3,200 mm width in poly/cotton, viscose, poly / acrylic, poly / acetate, polypropylene (all blend ratios) with plain and different weaves like twills, drills, satins, dobies, jacquards. Its garment category product line includes lightweight garments, lounge wear, sleep wear and scrub sets.
