Amtex Limited reported earnings results for the third quarter and nine months ended March 31, 2018. For the quarter, the company reported sales of PKR 229,895,333 against PKR 320,636,200 a year ago. Loss for the period before taxation was PKR 39,336,499 against PKR 149,524,304 a year ago. Net loss for the period of PKR 41,046,251 or PKR 0.16 per basic and diluted share compared to PKR 152,762,944 or PKR 0.59 per basic and diluted share a year ago.
For the nine months, the company reported sales of PKR 769,994,812 against PKR 1,221,800,997 a year ago. Loss for the period before taxation was PKR 297,622,921 against PKR 374,083,699 a year ago. Net loss for the period of PKR 305,693,044 or PKR 1.18 per basic and diluted share compared to PKR 386,459,775 or PKR 1.49 per basic and diluted share a year ago.
Amtex Limited is a Pakistan-based textile manufacturing company. The principal business of the Company is exporting all kinds of value-added fabrics, textile made-ups, casual and fashion garments duly processed. The Company is also engaged in the business of manufacturing and sale of yarn and fabrics on its own and conversion basis. The cloth processing unit and stitching units are located at Punj Pullian Daewoo Road, District Faisalabad and the spinning unit is located at 30 kilometers Sheikhupura Road, Khurrianwala, District Faisalabad, in the province of Punjab. The Company offers products in categories, such as fabrics, home textiles and garments. It produces fabric from 1,016 millimeters (mm) to 3,200 mm width in poly/cotton, viscose, poly / acrylic, poly / acetate, polypropylene (all blend ratios) with plain and different weaves like twills, drills, satins, dobies, jacquards. Its garment category product line includes lightweight garments, lounge wear, sleep wear and scrub sets.
