SAN FRANCISCO (AP) _ Anaplan Inc. (PLAN) on Tuesday reported a loss of $36.8 million in its fiscal third quarter.
The San Francisco-based company said it had a loss of 26 cents per share. Losses, adjusted for stock option expense and non-recurring costs, were 5 cents per share.
The results beat Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of five analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for a loss of 10 cents per share.
The software developer posted revenue of $114.9 million in the period, also exceeding Street forecasts. Five analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $109.7 million.
For the current quarter ending in January, Anaplan said it expects revenue in the range of $118.5 million to $119.5 million.
The company expects full-year revenue in the range of $444 million to $445 million.
Anaplan shares have risen 19% since the beginning of the year. The stock has climbed 17% in the last 12 months.
