--Apple shareholders rejected a measure which would have the company disclose more about how it uses artificial intelligence, Reuters reports.

--The measure at Apple's annual shareholder meeting would have also required a report on the company's ethical guidelines in using AI technology.

--Chief Executive Tim Cook said at the shareholder meeting Wednesday that Apple plans to share more about its generative AI plans later this year.

--The measure was proposed by the pension trust of the AFL-CIO, which has also proposed similar measures at other companies.
