Qatar's news agency just commissioned artec technologies AG to provide it with a new TV/Radio recording and information system. The system will make it possible for the agency's editors to generate and evaluate real-time information from over 200 TV and radio broadcasters. The objective is to forward this information on to the country's governmental agencies and leading persons without time lags.

The agency will receive the newest hardware and software generations developed by artec for its broadcast systems, systems which distinguish themselves through the high number of TV and radio channels processed per unit of equipment as well as low-level energy consumption. An additional highlight of artec's new product generation is its integrated mobile TV solutions for providing worldwide accessibility for closed user groups. All common smartphones and tables from Apple, Samsung and other manufactures can be used as receivers.

This special, mobile technology makes it possible for the users in any time-zones around the world to call up TV programs originating in their personal regions, either in real-time or with time shifting. In addition, through special display characteristics and search functions, individual broadcasts can be located within seconds and immediately called up. One further special feature worth mentioning is the personalised retrieval of video clips.

Via set-top boxes, TV programs as well as all additional interactive features of the system can be received via the internet in high quality on standard, commercially available TV sets - for example in cabinet members' holiday residences - even if they have only limited TV reception.
