Asbury Automotive Group, Inc. reported earnings results for the second quarter and six months ended June 30, 2022. For the second quarter, the company reported revenue was USD 3,950.2 million compared to USD 2,584 million a year ago. Net income was USD 201.4 million compared to USD 152.1 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations was USD 9.11 compared to USD 7.88 a year ago. Diluted earnings per share from continuing operations was USD 9.07 compared to USD 7.8 a year ago.
For the six months, revenue was USD 7,862 million compared to USD 4,776.9 million a year ago. Net income was USD 439.1 million compared to USD 244.9 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations was USD 19.6 compared to USD 12.69 a year ago. Asbury Automotive Group, Inc. is an automotive retailer company. The Company operates through two segments: Dealerships and Total Care Auto (TCA). The Company offers a range of automotive products and services, including new and used vehicles; parts and service, which includes vehicle repair and maintenance services, replacement parts and collision repair services, and finance and insurance (F&I) products, which includes arranging vehicle financing through third parties and aftermarket products, such as extended service contracts, guaranteed asset protection (GAP) debt cancellation and prepaid maintenance. The Company operates approximately 160 new vehicle dealerships, consisting of 208 franchises, representing 31 domestic and foreign brands of vehicles. Its TCA, powered by Landcar, is a provider of service contracts and other vehicle protection products, and 37 collision repair centers.
