CFO Annemiek van Melick vertrekt bij a.s.r.

Annemiek van Melick treedt per vandaag terug als CFO en lid van de Raad van Bestuur van a.s.r. om CFO van NN Group te worden. Zij legt haar werkzaamheden bij a.s.r. met onmiddellijke ingang neer. Het is de intentie om op korte termijn bekend te maken hoe in de opvolging wordt voorzien.

Jos Baeten, CEO van a.s.r.: 'We hadden graag gezien dat zij haar termijn als lid van de Raad van Bestuur had volgemaakt. Desalniettemin respecteer ik haar keuze, ben ik haar dankbaar voor de waardevolle bijdrage die zij de afgelopen periode heeft geleverd en wens ik haar veel succes toe in haar verdere loopbaan.'

Joop Wijn, voorzitter van de Raad van Commissarissen van a.s.r.: 'De RvC bedankt Annemiek voor de rol die zij heeft gespeeld om de financieel sterke en duurzame positie van a.s.r. verder uit te bouwen. Wij wensen Annemiek alle goeds toe voor de toekomst. a.s.r. is goed gepositioneerd voor de uitvoering van de strategie die gericht is op lange termijn waardecreatie met oog voor het belang van alle stakeholders. Vanuit die achtergrond is het de intentie om op korte termijn een goede opvolger voor te dragen.'

Annemiek van Melick: 'Het was een eer om voor a.s.r. te werken, een professioneel bedrijf met een prettige cultuur, en ik vertrek dan ook met gemengde gevoelens. a.s.r. is een solide maatschappelijk betrokken en duurzame verzekeraar en ik dank alle collega's voor de prettige samenwerking.'

Met het vertrek van Annemiek van Melick is geen ontslagvergoeding gemoeid.

Zoals eerder aangekondigd organiseert a.s.r. op 7 december 2021 een Investor Update. Daar zullen de strategische plannen en de middellange termijndoelstellingen worden gepresenteerd.
