BAE Systems reports that the US Air Force has completed Initial Operational Test and Evaluation (IOT&E) of Eagle, an Active Passive Warning Life Support System (EPAWSS) that will provide F-15 aircraft with critical electronic warfare capabilities.

' EPAWSS has been designed for scalability and rapid capability insertion', said Amy Nesbitt, EPAWSS program manager at BAE Systems. ' We use agile software development to provide iterative upgrades to in-service electronic warfare systems, enabling our customers to defeat future electromagnetic threats. '

According to BAE, the system enables freedom of maneuver and deeper penetration into battlespaces protected by modern integrated air defense systems.
