Balwin Properties Limited announced that the board of directors of the company ("the Board") wishes to advise shareholders that, pursuant to the retirement of Ms Kholeka Mzondeki at the company's annual general meeting on 19 August 2022, Ms Keneilwe Moloko ("Ms Moloko") has been appointed as an independent non-executive director to the Board, with effect from 19 August 2022. Ms Moloko has also been appointed as a member of the Audit and Risk Committee and as a member of the Social, Ethics and Transformation Committee, with effect from 19 August 2022. Ms Moloko (NDip (Building Survey), BSc (QS), BCom, PGDA, CA(SA) started her career as a quantity surveyor at CP de Leeuw Walden & Colussi and Dawson & Frazer Building, and then qualified as a Chartered Accountant after nearly a decade in the construction industry.

For her articles, Ms Moloko had commenced her Chartered Accountant career at KPMG, whereafter she worked with Spearhead Property Holding (Redefine) as a Development Executive, followed by her role at Coronation Fund Managers as a Fixed Interest Credit Analyst. Ms Moloko had previously served as director on the boards of Attacq Limited, Fairvest Property Holdings Limited and Long4Life Limited, and currently serves as an independent non-executive director of Bid Corporation Limited and Brimstone Investment Corporation Limited. The Board trusts that Ms Moloko will add great value to Balwin given her skills, qualifications and technical expertise and looks forward to her contribution.
