Banco Hipotecario S.A. reported earnings results for the second quarter and six months ended June 30, 2023. For the second quarter, the company reported net interest loss was ARS 10,021.7 million compared to ARS 3,890.6 million a year ago. Net income was ARS 4,015.4 million compared to ARS 2,946.2 million a year ago.
For the six months, net interest loss was ARS 22,641.6 million compared to ARS 6,736.9 million a year ago. Net income was ARS 8,540.5 million compared to ARS 5,900.9 million a year ago.
Banco Hipotecario SA is an Argentina-based financial institution (the Bank) principally engaged in the banking sector. The Bank's offer includes current and saving accounts, mortgage, consumer and commercial loans, fixed-term deposits, credit and debit cards, financial advisory, cash management, export and project financing, leasing, as well as securities brokerage, among others. Its services are structured in two areas: Personal banking and Corporate banking. In addition, the Bank provides life and casualty insurance. The Bank operates domestically through a number of subsidiaries, such as BHN Sociedad de Inversion SA, BH Valores SA Sociedad de Bolsa, BACS Banco de Credito y Securitizacion SA and Tarshop SA.
