Basic Energy Corporation (BEC), through its wholly owned subsidiary, Basic Energy Renewables Corporation (BERC), and its partner Ecology Energy Corp. (EEC), owner of the EcoOil fuel stations, set in motion their new collaboration the "BASIC RECHARGE Station". This will service the EV motoring public, who now own or are considering to acquire EVs to benefit from the growing shift to a transport landscape that is both environmentally impactful and economical.

The BASIC RECHARGE Station is part of BEC's Green Energy E- Transport Program (GEEP; per March 2, 2022, PSE Disclosure with Ref. No. C01318-2022) which promotes the use of renewable energy to power both private and public-utility EVs thus providing the much needed access to EV charging stations to support the growing number of EVs in the country.

BEC, in partnership with several oil companies who operate a network of service stations across the archipelago, has committed to expand the reach of "Basic Recharge" station through replication within foreseeable future. It offers rapid and fast EV Chargers, a 60kW charger with CCS2 connectors and a 20kW GBT charger, respectively, and is conceived to answer the varying standards of EV charging systems for most makes and models being introduced to the Philippines. The EcoOil station along EDSA is set up to accommodate the recharge top-up of 3 electric vehicles simultaneously.
