Becle, S.A.B. de C.V. announced consolidated financial results for the fourth quarter and full year ended December 31, 2017. Net sales were MXN 8,338 million compared to MXN 7,380 million a year ago. Operating profit was MXN 1,937 million compared to MXN 1,470 million a year ago. Profit before tax was MXN 2,595 million compared to MXN 1,046 million a year ago. Net income to equity holders of the company was MXN 2,449 million compared to MXN 629 million a year ago. EBITDA was MXN 2,048 million against MXN 1,636 million a year ago. Earnings per share was MXN 0.68.
For the year, Net sales were MXN 25,958 million compared to MXN 24,396 million a year ago. Operating profit was MXN 6,736 million compared to MXN 5,624 million a year ago. Profit before tax was MXN 5,956 million compared to MXN 4,668 million a year ago. Net income to equity holders of the company was MXN 4,740 million compared to MXN 3,148 million a year ago. EBITDA was MXN 7,161 million against MXN 6,075 million a year ago. Earnings per share was MXN 1.35. Net cash provided by operating activities was MXN 2,893 million against MXN 1,424 million a year ago. Capital expenditures were MXN 1,066 million against MXN 829 million a year ago.
Becle SAB de CV is a Mexico-based company engaged in the beverages industry. The Company focuses on the production, bottling, trade and distribution of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. Its offer includes various types of tequila distributed under own Jose Cuervo brand name, non-alcoholic drinks, ready-to-drink beverages, as well as other distilled alcohols distributed under third-party brand names, including Three Olives, Hangar 1, Stranahan's, Bushmills and Boodles.
