BH Global secured LED lighting orders of approximately S$5.8m in aggregate

Singapore, 26 July 2021 - BH Global Corporation Ltd ("BH Global" or the "Group"), is pleased to announce that its 100% owned subsidiary company, Beng Hui Marine Electrical Pte Ltd ("BHM") from the Electrical and Technical Supply division, has secured orders of approximately S$ 5.8 million of LED lighting in aggregate in the first half of 2021. The orders are to be fulfilled progressively from 3Q 2021 until 4Q 2022 and not expected to have a significant impact on the performance of the Group for the current financial year.

In line with BH Global's ESG initiative, BHM develops the Group's proprietary brand of SOP (Save Our Planet) marine and offshore LED lightings, which are OEM by GL Lighting Holding Pte Ltd ("GLH")'s newly established factory in Kunshan China, a BH Global's associate company from the Green LED Lighting Division.

The $5.8 million orders mainly involve the supply of SOP technical LED lighting to new and repeat customers from local and overseas, for new shipbuilding projects and retrofitting in replacement of conventional lighting onboard existing vessels, as well as OEM for a key strategic partner. The push for sustainability and decarbonization by IMO (International Maritime Organisation) has seen an uptake in demand for green LED lighting in the maritime industry in recent years.

SOP's market positioning as premium products with high performance and durability at competitive pricing brings value to ship owners with energy efficient lighting in harsh marine environments. With GLH's factory in Kunshan being certified by IECEX (International Electrotechnical Commission System for Certification to Standards Relating to Equipment for Use in Explosive Atmospheres) and ATEX (EU Equipment and Protective Systems Intended for use in Potentially Explosion Atmospheres), BHM developed and OEM its range of explosion proof LED lights for applications in hazardous locations by GLH. The new addition of explosion proof LED lights for hazardous locations in this year allows SOP to complete its range of offerings for marine and offshore applications and opens new market opportunities.
