BKI Investment Company Limited announced consolidated earnings results for the half year ended December 31, 2013. For the period, the company's net operating result before special dividend income increased 16.8% to AUD 18.0 million. Basic earnings per share before special dividend income increased 4.5% to 3.72 cents per share, while the interim ordinary dividend increased from 3.25 cents per share to 3.45 cents per share.

Ordinary dividend and distribution income increased 17.1% to AUD 18.2 million. Net profit 3.5% to AUD 19.09 million from AUD 18.45 million for the first half of last year. Total revenue from ordinary activities was up 4.3% to AUD 20.41 million.

Revenue from investment portfolio was AUD 18.2 million against AUD 15.6 million for the same period a year ago. Income from operating activities before special investment revenue was AUD 19.3 million against AUD 16.5 million for the same period a year ago. Operating result before income tax expense and special investment revenue was AUD 18.6 million against AUD 15.9 million for the same period a year ago.

Net operating result before special investment revenue was AUD 18.0 million against AUD 15.4 million for the same period a year ago. Net operating profit was AUD 19.1 million against AUD 18.5 million for the same period a year ago. Profit for the half year attributable to members of the company was AUD 19.1 million or 3.95 cents per basic and diluted earnings per share including special investment revenue against AUD 18.5 million or 4.26 cents per basic and diluted earnings per share including special investment revenue for the same period a year ago.

Net cash inflows from operating activities was AUD 24.1 million against AUD 23.3 million for the same period a year ago. Purchases for investment portfolio was AUD 99.7 million against AUD 20.2 million for the same period a year ago.
