Borosil Limited reported earnings results for the fourth quarter and full year ended March 31, 2023. For the fourth quarter, the company reported sales was INR 2,588.56 million compared to INR 2,200.54 million a year ago. Revenue was INR 2,643.14 million compared to INR 2,245.54 million a year ago. Net income was INR 220.9 million compared to INR 344.59 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations was INR 1.93 compared to INR 3.02 a year ago. Diluted earnings per share from continuing operations was INR 1.93 compared to INR 3.02 a year ago.
For the full year, sales was INR 10,271.21 million compared to INR 8,398.62 million a year ago. Revenue was INR 10,519.11 million compared to INR 8,644.36 million a year ago. Net income was INR 898.45 million compared to INR 837.3 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations was INR 7.86 compared to INR 7.34 a year ago. Diluted earnings per share from continuing operations was INR 7.86 compared to INR 7.34 a year ago.
Borosil Limited is primarily engaged in the business of manufacturing and trading of scientific and industrial products and consumer products. The Company operates through two segments: Consumer Products (CP) and Scientific & Industrial Products (SIP). The CP segment is engaged in the business of microwavable and flameproof kitchenware, glass tumblers, hydra bottles, tableware and dinnerware, appliances, storage products, steel serve fresh and more. The SIP segment is engaged in the business of laboratory glassware, instruments, liquid handling systems, explosion proof glassware and more. It has two manufacturing facilities, one situated in Bharuch, Gujarat and the other situated in Jaipur, Rajasthan. The Jaipur manufacturing facility is exclusively dedicated to the CP division, while the Bharuch manufacturing facility, primarily a SIP division facility, also manufactures some borosilicate glass products such as mugs, bottles, jars, glass tumblers and other consumer glass ware items.
