Bowlin Travel Centers, Inc. announced earnings results for the second quarter ended July 31, 2021. For the second quarter, the company announced total revenue was USD 14.046 million compared to USD 8.853 million a year ago. Operating income was USD 1.423 million compared to USD 1.014 million a year ago. Net income was USD 998,000 compared to USD 677,000 a year ago. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations was USD 0.25 compared to USD 0.17 a year ago. For the half year, total revenue was USD 23.602 million compared to USD 14.154 million a year ago. Operating income was USD 2.022 million compared to USD 803,000 a year ago. Net income was USD 1.390 million compared to USD 460,000 a year ago. Bowlin Travel Centers, Inc. is engaged in the operation of travel centers and restaurants located along interstate highways in New Mexico and Arizona. The Company has over 10 travel centers and five restaurants. Eight of the Companyâs travel centers offer fuel, and it operates five full-service restaurants under the Dairy Queen/Brazier or Dairy Queen trade names. All of the Companyâs travel centers offer a variety of Southwestern merchandise to the traveling public in the Southwestern United States, primarily New Mexico. They also sell convenience store food such as chips, nuts, cookies and prepackaged sandwiches along with a variety of bottled and canned drinks. The Company is an authorized ExxonMobil retailer. Its stores include Akela Flats, Running Indian, Bluewater Outpost, Butterfield Station and others. Its Akela Flats Trading Post is located on the north side of Interstate 10 in southern New Mexico. It is about 20 miles east of Deming and about 30 miles west of Las Cruces.
