At Box, we firmly believe that technology can make the world a better place.
We see it every day, with customers like the International Rescue Committee, The Nature Conservancy, Angels Foster Family Network and countless organizations that use Box to power their important work. We see it in the Boxers who donate their time, skills and dollars, with 75% of Boxers engaging in causes they care about. And we see it in so many small but important ways, like every tree saved when documents are signed electronically, rather than on paper -- or when collaboration happens without a flight halfway around the world.
Today, we're excited to announce our Box Impact Fund, which provides grants for digital transformation in two very important areas: child welfare and crisis response. As a technology company, we see the difference that productivity and efficiency gains, powered by amazing technology, can make. In child welfare, this translates to more time staff spends with foster youth, faster processing of child support payments, and protecting PII of foster youth (one of the top targets of identity theft). And in crisis response, centralized documents and data, as well as offline access, can translate to more streamlined deployment and operations resulting in more immediate aid in disasters. As organizations digitally transform, ultimately those they serve benefit.
Today, for the first time, we are launching a call for proposals for four $25,000 grants -- totaling $100,000 -- to be awarded to four nonprofits doing critical work in the areas of child welfare or crisis response. If you know of a nonprofit focused on these areas that could benefit from additional investment, please share this news with them. We want to help these organizations spend more time on what they do best -- delivering on their mission.
More details are available on our website, including eligibility guidelines, application information, and evaluation criteria. Proposals will be accepted from October 6th through November 5th, with grantees announced on December 7, 2021.
