Six leading dealer groups will offer German customers passenger cars from the e-mobility pioneer BYD.

MÖLNDAL, SWEDEN, October 20, 2022 –– BYD, the world-leading manufacturer of electric vehicles, has unveiled its dealer network for Germany at the Paris Motor Show. With the support of Hedin Mobility Group, BYD has established a nationwide network of dealerships where vehicles soon can be ordered and serviced.

In August 2022, BYD (Build Your Dreams) and Sweden-based Hedin Mobility Group, one of Europe’s largest providers of mobility solutions, entered a partnership to distribute BYD's high-quality vehicles in Germany. At the international auto show in Paris, representatives of BYD and Hedin Mobility Group officially presented the next step in this collaboration. Six leading dealer groups with a broad network of car dealerships will offer BYD electric vehicles in their own showrooms. These are Sternauto, Sternpartner, Senger, Torpedo Gruppe, Riess, and Reisacher. In parallel, Hedin Electric Mobility is also setting up its own distribution operations in Germany. This ensures that customers nationwide can test drive, buy, and service BYD vehicles.

In key German cities, modern flagship stores are also being built in prime locations where customers can experience the BYD models. Initially, three models will be available in Germany, all equipped with BYD's safe and highly efficient Blade battery: the sporty E-segment sedan BYD HAN; the seven-seater E-segment SUV BYD TANG; and the expressive and dynamic BYD ATTO 3, a SUV in the C-segment.

Michael Shu, General Manager and Managing Director, BYD Europe and International Cooperation Division said:
"We know that Germany is a particularly demanding car market. With our high-quality vehicles, sold through a network of established dealer partners, we now want to attract customers to our products here as well."

Anders Hedin, owner and CEO of Hedin Mobility Group said:
"By adding BYD to our range, we are enriching our offering with electric vehicles in the premium segment. At the same time, we are entering the German market as a distributor of electric vehicles for the first time. We are convinced that with these vehicles at the highest level of technology and aesthetics, we can offer German customers an attractive product – with relatively short lead times."

Lars Pauly, CEO of Hedin Electric Mobility GmbH said:
"We are proud that we have been able to build a network for BYD in Germany in such a short time, consisting of large and important dealer groups. This is proof of their confidence in the brand and their positive market assessment. Together with our partners, we are ready to launch this year!"
