C.T.I. Traffic Industries Co., Ltd. announced earnings results for the third quarter and nine months ended September 30, 2018. For the third quarter, the company announced sales was TWD 143.688 million compared to TWD 139.110 million a year ago. Operating income was TWD 4.518 million compared to operating loss of TWD 4.861 million a year ago. Net income was TWD 4.469 million compared to net loss of TWD 4.441 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share was TWD 0.11 compared to basic loss per share of TWD 0.11 a year ago.
For the nine months, sales were TWD 418.164 million compared to TWD 391.402 million a year ago. Operating income was TWD 7.826 million compared to TWD 256,000 a year ago. Net income was TWD 7.755 million compared to net loss of TWD 17.401 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share was TWD 0.2 compared to basic loss per share of TWD 0.44 a year ago.
C.T.I. Traffic Industries CO., LTD is a Taiwan-based company principally engaged in the manufacture and sales of piston rings and automobile parts. The Company's piston rings include compression rings, chrome plated keystone-type piston rings, steel oil-retaining rings, chrome plated blooming piston rings, nitrides piston rings, and nitrides blooming piston rings, among others. The piston rings are applied in automobiles. Its automobile parts include engine repair kits, automobile lamps, engine parts, brake system parts, timing belt parts and other accessories. The Company distributes its products in domestic market and to overseas markets, including the Americas, Europe, Africa and the rest of Asia.
