Calibre : Appointment of Peter Massey as MD & CEO

At the Calibre Group Limited Annual General Meeting today; Chairman Geoff Tomlinson announced the appointment of Mr Peter Massey as Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, effective immediately. Peter Massey has been Calibre's Interim Chief Executive Officer since September 2016 and the Chief Financial Officer and Company Secretary since February 2014.

Peter has over 20 years' experience in consulting, engineering, construction and maintenance services in multiple industry sectors such as oil and gas, mining and power, property, utilities, facilities management, telecommunications, defence and infrastructure across a number of regions including Australia, New Zealand, Asia, and both North and South America. He holds a Master of Business Administration from UCLA Anderson School of Management and National University of Singapore, a Bachelor of Commerce from Macquarie University, and is a Certified Practising Accountant.

Calibre's Chairman, Geoff Tomlinson, said 'Based on our experience to date and in particular over the past few months, the Board has decided that Peter Massey is the right person to lead Calibre through its next level of development. Peter has diverse industry and regional experience that is well suited to Calibre. He brings the right level of energy, passion, leadership, client focus and commercial acumen to the role, and his vision is aligned with the Board's on the future direction of the Group. Peter will work closely with the Board and business leaders to continue to diversify the Group, focus on streamlining the organisation, and capitalise on our strengths to increase value for shareholders.'
